Reviews

What do readers say?

“I don’t have any gurus, but if I would, it would be Robert, my mentor in the visceral part of osteopathic therapy. So much looking forward to diving into these new books.” — Jelle Zandveld, osteopath

A masterwork in osteopathy

Robert Muts has created impressive works with this series of books in the visceral field. Not only are core principles of osteopathy clearly explained, but these works also provide a profound foundation for both students and experienced osteopaths. As a former teacher with many years of experience, and as the director of a renowned academy, Robert Muts brings together an unprecedented passion and expertise in these books. It is abundantly clear that this work is a life project — a summary of decades of knowledge, clinical practice and didactic experience. What makes these books special is, among other things, the way in which the author conveys his vision of the profession: his enthusiasm and dedication can be felt throughout. An essential work that will undoubtedly remain a reference within osteopathy for years to come.

Welcome standard work for visceral techniques

Very pleasant and welcome workbook for osteopaths who use visceral techniques — both for the student and the advanced osteopath. With a clear explanation from physiology, neurology, pathology and embryology. For each part, relationships are made to history and philosophy for extra deepening. The wealth of knowledge and experience that Robert Muts has gained in his practice is reflected in this book.

A must-have book on osteopathy in the visceral field

This book covers all aspects related to osteopathy in the visceral field, including historical background, anatomical and physiological foundations, conceptual models, anecdotes, tests, and techniques — all presented through the lens of a highly respected osteopath in this area, Robert Muts, and his extensive knowledge and experience. There is limited literature on the visceral approach in osteopathy, and this book is set to become one of the key reference works in the field. A must-have, I would say!

Wow!

These books are a must-buy for everyone. The author truly gave his all to share his rich experience with the reader. They're easy to read and free of all the unnecessary complications that usually lead to confusion. Every technique is explained very clearly and is fully applicable in practice. You can feel that everything is tailored for practitioners — this book, in fact the entire series, offers reproducibility and a level of verifiable success that I personally haven't found in other works. My gratitude goes to Mr. Muts for his immense effort and for making the material accessible in both content and price.

Course: the standard work in practice

Prefer to learn in practice? Robert also teaches postgraduate courses on the visceral field.

An extensive practical course based on the books: 'Structural approach of the viscera'. A directly practical course, in which the organs are treated one by one. In addition there are courses on the Peritoneum, the BBRS (Basic-Bio-Regulation-System), Fundamentals in Osteopathy, and more.

“Theater & osteopathy — then I think of Robert Muts. From start to finish, you will be taken into a great performance full of energy, passion, enthusiasm and an incredible wealth of knowledge and experience. Osteopathy as osteopathy is meant to be. If you ask me, a course that you absolutely must have done.” — Patrick van Mil, DO
